General dentistry

At Prodental Clinics, your oral health is our top priority. We believe that maintaining good oral health isn't as easy as just brushing your teeth daily. There are various steps that you need to take to maintain healthy gums and teeth. To avoid oral diseases and cavities, you should brush and floss regularly and visit your dentist at least twice a year.

These are some of the general treatments we offer:

Routine Check-ups

At Prodental Clinics, our focus lies on the whole mouth and not only the teeth. The whole mouth is examined and all issues are correctly diagnosed. We may use x-rays to diagnose more com[lex issues.

Dental cleaning and scaling

Before the cleaning, we perform a general examination. During the examination, we check your teeth for tartar, cavities, and plaque. In the cleaning phase, we use a scaler to remove plaque and tartar. Next, we use a gritty toothpaste and a high-powered electric toothbrush to further clean the teeth. Finally, we floss the teeth if necessary.

Extractions

We do our best to save all-natural teeth from decay and other oral diseases. However, when there is decay, extensive trauma, or a tooth fracture, we may advise a tooth extraction. Impacted wisdom teeth may also require extraction. A simple extraction is a relatively quick outpatient procedure where we use a local anaesthetic. However, teeth that are broken below the surface or impacted teeth require a more advanced approach.

Fillings

If you have a cavity that isn't too severe, we will treat it using a dental filling. During the process, we remove the decayed part of the tooth and seal off the area with a filling. We also use fillings to repair broken or cracked teeth and teeth that have been worn down from habits like teeth grinding and nail-biting.
